WHILE I WAS NURSING

I am going to start a collection of pictures called "Things That Go Wrong While I am Putting Charlie to Sleep."

Here is the first one -

I knew it was going to be bad when, as I was walking down the stairs, I could hear Luke saying, "Oh no. Clean up the juice! Clean up the juice!" (You have to give him credit though for trying to clean it up before I saw it.)

  1. We turned Peter's doorknob around so that I could lock it from the outside and contain the chaos while putting Cooper down for a nap. I figure he's safer in there than out satisfying his curiosity in the rest of the house.

Did the juice come out of the grout?

  2. I saw your title on MMB and knew it would be good. "Nursing time" should be synonomous with "toddler disaster waiting to strike."

I have four children, and SO many of these stories!

  3. That Grape juice is a killer. So tasty, yet so stainy (is that a word?) At least Luke was trying to clean up and knew he had made a bad mistake, you gotta give the kids props for that!

  4. At least he's trying! I think its really funny that you and I have the same floor. The only difference is mines so shiny you can see your reflection in it, I hate it. (i'm not saying because i keep it so clean. That's just the way it looks. )

  5. Have you read "David Gets in Trouble" by David Shannon? This picture of Luke with the juice reminds me of the page where David says, "It slipped!" It's Jackson's favorite book right now.

  6. That is too funny - and I'm sure was frustrating when you saw it.

If the stain doesn't come out, try using Mr. Cleans Magic Eraser - they get all kinds of stains out.

And you're right - at least he was TRYING to clean it up :)

  7. I can't believe you still buy purple grape juice.

Very cute that he was trying to clean up.

  8. Just blame Erik! (So what if he is at work). Sometimes it's the best way to feel better...but seriously, you need to go to white grape juice. :)

  9. We have had so many incidents like this that I've lost count! It is pretty cute, though, that he was trying to clean up. :-)

  10. I'm impressed that instead of yelling at him or getting mad, you took a picture. Way to have a sense of humor about it!!

  11. haha, his face is precious. We spilled red grape juice last night in our kitchen, but it wasn't because of a toddler. I am just clumsy like that sometimes. What a cutie for trying to clean up himself.

  12. Thats good he was trying to clean it up! My top ones while nursing are escaping from the house, painting nail polish on the carpet, and sitting on sisters head. Oh so much fun!

  15. I'll bet the owners of your house are cringing as they read this (let's hope they don't!) Is this the juice I asked you to leave home when you visited at Thanksgiving? So glad you only brought the apple cider.
