THE END OF AN ERA

As you all know, President Hinckley passed away today at the age of 97. I hope we can all live to be as old and as active as he was. I'm sure he's a happy man right now, but I will really miss hearing him speak. It's crazy to think that he's gone. General Conferences won't be the same for awhile. It truly feels like the end of an era.

  1. (Caitlin) He was a great prophet and I was always eager to hear him speak. It really does feel like the end of an era. It's was weird when I heard the news last night because it wasn't shocking like I thought it would be. I actually felt really happy for him. I think he's really glad to be with his wife. I'm going to miss him though.

  2. I feel the same way. I too was always excited to hear him talk at conferences. We just heard him speak at our multi-stake conference a couple of weeks ago. He was truly a man of God. I am going to miss him a lot.

  3. It does feel that way. You can't help but be elated for him, but we sure will miss him- he's been the Prophet for more then half of my life. What an amazing amazing man.

  5. I am going to miss him as our President. He had a great sense of humor and I'm glad you found a picture of him laughing.

  6. I am so comforted by the knowledge that we have that we will one day all be able to be in the presence of our dear Prophet again, and until then his legacy will live on with the many Temples he made possible and through his wonderful teaching that have meant so much to us, especially as youth. We will never forget him!
